ROPP cap sizes explained: 20, 22, 25 & 28 mm and where each fits

ROPP caps are specified by the bottle's neck diameter in millimetres. GSR Metal Caps manufactures the four most-used sizes — 20, 22, 25 and 28 mm — which between them cover the great majority of pharma, spirits, food and chemical bottles in the Indian market.

20 mm

The smallest of the common ROPP sizes. Suits vials, small pharmaceutical bottles and compact cosmetic packs where a neat, secure closure matters.

22 mm

A workhorse for syrups, tonics, lab and chemical bottles — large enough to pour comfortably, small enough to stay economical.

25 mm

Common for spirits miniatures, flavour concentrates and some edible-oil packs. A popular choice where branding on the cap top is wanted.

28 mm

The widest of the four — used for beverages, food, agro-chemicals and general wide-neck bottles that need faster pouring.
